House Styles in Los Angeles

There are sunny days in Los Angeles where you can see the snow-capped mountains in the distance; from beaches to desert to frosty hilltops, Southern California offers more variety on a daily basis than most places. Along with a diversity of ethnic groups, cuisine choices, languages and unique neighborhoods, housing style variety in LA is especially varied.

As a child of suburbia, where home styles were highly homogeneous, I love the choices LA offers in comparison to other cities. On one city block, you might see Tudor, Spanish, Modern, Storybook and Colonial architecture. To some this may seem odd, but I find it refreshing and exciting to break away from the harmonious monotony of all things looking similar.
